Description
After years of producing economical and often uninspiring cars Plymouth brought out a high performance vehicle. There were extensive styling changes in 1961 with the removal of the fins, taking of a little of the weight. By the early 1970s Federal safety standards were making their mark in design, in particular bumpers. The Fury needed a quick re-design for 1973 after a major 1972 re-styling. Still a big car the fuel crisis took it toll and competitors started to reduce the size of their cars to be more economical, the Fury had to change. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, specification and technical data, new model intro’s and long-term tests. Models covered: Fury I, II, III, GT, VIP, Gran Coupe, Sedan, Convertible & Wagon.
