The 1980s saw significant modernisation efforts for the British Army of the Rhine. The most important addition to the vehicle pool was the new Challenger 1 main battle tank. This publication describes, in photographs taken at exercises, the vehicles used during the last years of the BAOR up to its disbandment in 1994.
